Joseph trained as an artist at Glasgow School of Art and Massachusetts College of Fine Art. Interested in the point where digital and physical intersect, Joseph is keen on exploring ways of creating a narrative using a tactile, visual approach. Also keenly interested in materials, he enjoys working in an iterative way, allowing the process to influence the eventual artwork or exhibition. is an area of particular interest.
With a wealth of experience across design & production Joseph has worked with artists & architects such as Asif Khan, Jason Bruges, Hussein Chalayan and Turner Prize-winning artist Helen Marten to help develop their stories and bring their ideas to life.
Joseph has been involved in many different projects of all scales, from large scale clients to small niche artist-run endeavours. Nike, British Airways, LG, Faberge & Chelsea Flower Show are such examples and Joseph has worked on designed for events such as TED Glasgow, London Design Festival, Clerkenwell Design Week, IFA and CES Las Vegas.
Most recently, Joseph has been working on sound design & composition for Melbourne based exhibition at ACMI (Australian Centre for Moving Image, 2021) and also touring theatre show, ‘Life: Live’ with artist Lucy McCormick (2021) and was shortlisted for Create London commission in Waltham Forest and has set up UNIT-STUDIO, a creative collective interested in collaboration and creating interactive, site-specific installations, exhibitions & events.
